At Stavropoulou Architects, we help people realise their dreams of sustainable living and working spaces.

The main architectural challenge for our practice is to create an innovative and expressive space through aesthetic and technical research, whilst always aiming for a cost and resource conscious realization.
Whether designing a private residence, hotel, winery or workspace, we team up with the client to assure that the best solution is adopted for the particular brief. We create serene and inviting environments that foster a sense of well-being within a framework of functionality and comfort.

Stavropoulou Architects’ design portfolio includes villas, single-family homes, wineries and small industrial buildings, exhibition design, office and retail spaces in Athens, all around Greece and abroad. We have also undertaken special commissions, set designs and installations for a broad range of clients, including major cultural organisations.
Guided by bioclimatic principles, our design methodology prioritises natural, local materials where possible, to ensure that our architectural interventions respect and enhance their location.
When starting design work, we always consider the ancient body of knowledge at the core of sustainable architecture, taking account of the appropriate orientation of the building and its individual spaces and the selective application of simple bioclimatic and sustainable strategies in solar power, ventilation, heating and cooling.

We have a passion for the poetry of materials and the effects of light. Handcrafted details and the custom design of furniture and fittings are at the heart of our architectural practice.

Our service is holistic – from architectural design to project management. The working process is not linear; we understand the ways details can enrich the overall concept. We produce physical models and one-to-one scale mock-ups in order to verify the proposed concept. To respond to each brief, we assemble a bespoke team of specialist consultants and craftspeople.
